Ryde goes to war project

The Ryde District Historical Society has commenced a project to identify and collect data for all the men and women from the Ryde district who served in World War 1. For more information go to http://rydegoestowar.blogspot.com.au

The Ryde Goes to War Photography project was held at the Field of Mars Cemetery on Saturday 29 June. The volunteers were divided into teams of two people, a scribe and a photographer. When they found a military headstone, the scribe would document its location and the photographer would photograph it.
At the end of the session,  the photos were uploaded to a laptop computer.
